ILaB visual identity

ILaB’s visual identity gives institutional materials a consistent, recognisable appearance. It is based on the logo, colour palette and typography. Use all elements consistently in digital and printed communications.

The primary logo is the institution’s main identifying element. Use the original files and preserve its proportions, colours, clear space and legibility.

Colour palette

The palette is based on institutional blue, combined with white and supporting shades. Use colour sparingly, with an emphasis on legibility and sufficient contrast.

Print CMYK specifications and Pantone references will be confirmed separately. HEX/RGB values are the digital reference.

Typography

Figtree
AaFigtree

Figtree is ILaB’s primary typeface. Use a consistent hierarchy of headings and body text, appropriate type sizes and sufficient white space.

Clear space and logo use

Keep clear space around the logo at least equal to the height of the dot in the “i” symbol. The indicative minimum width for digital use is 80 px for the logo and 24 px for the standalone symbol. Do not distort, rotate, crop, recolour or add effects to the logo. Do not use it on backgrounds that reduce legibility.

Photography and graphic elements

We favour authentic photographs of ILaB’s research, staff and workplaces. Illustrations, icons and infographics should be visually consistent and help explain the content. Charts must not distort data and must include the necessary labels and sources.

Project and partner logos

In joint outputs, clearly distinguish the ILaB, project and partner identities. Follow funders’ mandatory publicity requirements. The project lead coordinates the use of project and partner logos with the communications lead.
